Legal Nurse Consultant
Nurses are important in personal injury and medical malpractice as they help the attorney to understand medical terminology, medical records and facilitate the collaboration of medical injuries and the law to increase case value. I have a passion for both nursing, medicine and the law, which is why I became interested in legal nurse consulting. I work with Curtis to get you the best result for your case and ensure you get the care you need immediately after your accident, as you recover and for the future.
I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2005 from Mercer University/Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. My specialty is Critical Care Nursing where I currently work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. During Covid, I was a travel nurse where I traveled to Boston, Virginia, Minnesota, Arkansas, Ohio and a consideral time in Georgia helping those impacted by the pandemic. For the past several years I have worked in the adult ICU environment, but I have also worked as a pediatric ICU nurse.
I love how law and medicine combine in personal injury and medical cases and am currently studying to take the LSAT and become a lawyer in the next several years.
Since I have worked in the medical profession since 2005, nursing and the medical field are very important to me. I see the hard work that nurses, doctors and other health professionals do to help people during the toughest times in their lives. I respect the profession, but I feel strongly you need to follow the policies and standards of care. Medical professionals do make mistakes as we are humans, but policies and standards of care must be followed to protect human lives. I will be the first person to stand up for a nurse, nurse practitioner, physician or other healthcare worker if they follow the standard of care. With that being said, I will be the first person to help protect a client when there was a signififcant breach of the standard of care, this breach specifically caused serious injury and the injury was catastrophic and permanent. This is why, we are VERY selective in the type of cases we accept in regards to medical malpractice.
I look forward to meeting you and your family, helping Curtis with your case and ensuring you receive the appropriate medical care to minimize your permanent injuries, pain and suffering.
